Spinning

Here I am and it is August.  This year is just FLYING.  Last week I was in Fargo for their Fiber Arts Festival.  That is the start of my fall shows.  I have shows now every month except December.  Which means all my time will be/should be spent spinning!

The first thing I do after shows is put things back into their cubbies so I can see what I have and what I should choose next to spin.  I'm a visual person, I have plenty of lists but actually seeing everything helps me make decisions.  I have six weeks before my next show in Watertown, SD.  North Country Fiber Fair is a two day event.  Right now I'm focusing my spinning on one kit to make an Aeria shawl and then spinning regular skeins.

My long term plans involve preparing for the NashYarnFest in Nashville TN,  March 14-15, 2025.  This is gearing up to be an incredible event run by Modern Daily Knitting (MDK).  It is their inaugural yarn festival and I'm very excited to have been chosen as a vendor.  Lots of fun things are in the works.  One thing I'm working on is having Ginny of FatCatKnits help me develop a show colorway.  I will have it available as finished handspun yarn as well as fiber for the spinners at the event to choose.  Stay tuned for future updates on my plans for this show.

Enjoy your summer!  Fall is nipping at our heels.
