Kate Davies designed a beautiful lap blanket called Rams and Yowes. I changed the colors that she used and included my blues and greys. This yarn kit (pattern can be found on Ravelry or Kate Davies website) comes with 11 skeins of 9 colors for a total of approximately 2,600 yards of yarn.
Gandalf, Dove, Quarry, Night Sky, White, Carbon, Nut Brown, Smoke and Taupe.
The fiber is wool/silk blends. The resulting blanket is a lovely weight and a true family treasure.
I estimate I worked over 100 hours spinning the yarn for this kit. But it is worth it. I will also include a sheet that tells you which colors I used in place of the original colors in the pattern. I've included in this listing a photograph of my completed blanket (not included with the purchase of the yarn kit) so you can see what your finished project will look like.
